The Future of Transportation

XPENG AEROHT X2

The XPENG AEROHT X2 is a futuristic flying vehicle and car combo that might be coming sooner than you think. Estimated to start mass production in 2026, the XPENG AEROHT X2 is an electric vehicle that houses an electric aircraft in the rear. With the test flights already completed in China, the electric flying vehicle combo is already on its way towards consumers. The main car is a 6 wheeled standard license drivable vehicle that has a 4 seater design, reasonable overall height, that also fits comfortably into parking spaces. The 6 wheels all put out power with the 6×6 all-wheel drive, as well as rear wheel steering, which allows for enhanced load capacity and off road performance. The van also comes equipped with

  • Integrated headlight bar
  • Electric foldable rearview mirrors (Automatically unfolds when driving, retracts when parked)
  • electrical dual swinging doors
  • Semi-Transparent aircraft storage trunk (Expansive transparent glass reveals a subtle view of the air module)

The van houses an 800v high-Voltage Silicon Carbide Range-Extended Platform, allowing for a CLTC Combined Range of Over 1000 km. This battery allows the aircraft to be fully recharged up to 6 times, and charges during driving and parking.

Taking to the Skies:

The aircraft comes out of the car with an onboard auto-separation and reconnection mechanism that only requires the push of one button. This allows for the seamless separation and reconnection of ground and air modules in under 5 minutes. The compact drone like design allows for a vertical takeoff and landing, eliminating the need for landing strips such as with airplanes. The aircraft houses 6 rotors, attached to foldable arms and blades, which lets the aircraft fit inside the vehicle. The rotor blades are made from carbon fiber (known for their strength along with lightweight, making them popular in similar use cases). Inside the aircraft comes equipped high efficiency flight AC (remote start option available), that allows for a comfortable ride for the user. furthermore, the driver and passenger can see stunning views with the 270 degree panoramic cockpit. The cockpit glass is secured using a single curved piece of polycarbonate glass, that is 200 times more impact-resistant than regular glass. While this is important for safety, there are many other advanced safety features as well:

  • Flight Control
  • Power and Energy
  • Low-Voltage Power
  • Communication
  • Control

All of these have a backup in case of primary system failure, that seamlessly activates allowing for multiple layers of safety.

Controls:

The controls of the X2 aircraft are quite simple as the main control is one single handed lever control system. Allowing for ease of use for the average person with no flying license required. The aircraft also comes equipped with state of the art flight assistance, as well as an automatic and manual mode. This means that the new publicly available aircraft can navigate autonomously, with one touch takeoff and route planning. Allowing the users to relax and enjoy the ride without the stress of keeping their safety in check.

Other features:

  • “Super Battery Cell-to-Body (CIB) integrated structure, Compliant with aviation-grade impact standards, AI real-time battery safety monitoring, Redundant control for enhanced safety backup, Provides high-heat safety protection at aviation.”
  • “Advanced Propulsion Unit- Embedded 800V silicon carbide power module, Top-class high-speed, bidirectional electric duct, Millisecond-level power response, Redundant communications control”
  • “Intelligent Flight Navigation System- Triple-redundant heterogeneous backup, Mitigates flight control and navigation failure, Maintains safe flight even with two system failures”
  • “Intelligent Attitude Protection- Consistently keeps flight parameters within safe limits for stable, secure flying.”
  • “Multi-Dimensional Aerial Sensing System- Ultra-Low Altitude 3D Flight Navigation, Multi-Environment Fusion Perception, Intelligent Collision Warnings, Ultra-Wide-Angle Ground Assistance Imaging”

Overall, the future of transportation lies in the hands of those working and collaborating with XPENG AEROHT, and we get to watch and enjoy as they take us from the ground to the skies, with limitless possibilities.
